You will develop the knowledge and skills to work in the Events and Hospitality industry. Develop your knowledge of the events industry and acquire a range of management, budgetary and event-specific skills including the selection of appropriate venues, development of event concepts, information technology skills for events, risk management, operational planning and event specific project management. You will have the opportunity to undertake work placement within the event industry.
If you are a people-person, there is a great hospitality career waiting for you. This course is ideal for those who are already working in hospitality or wish to work in the Hospitality industry and want to move up to a lower management or supervisory role, or perhaps you want to start a new career in hospitality.
The Diploma of Hospitality will teach you the skills required to thrive in the hospitality industry and combines practical skills with contextualised business and management knowledge. This course offers you a scope for career progression that goes well beyond the hospitality industry. You will learn about a broad range of managerial skills needed to coordinate hospitality operations. You will learn to operate independently, have responsibility for others and make a range of operational business decisions.

Events are diverse in nature and this qualification provides a pathway to work in events in a range of industries including tourism and travel, hospitality, sport, cultural and community sectors.
Possible job titles include conference coordinator, event coordinator event planner, event sales coordinator, in-house meetings coordinator, venue coordinator. Coupled with a Diploma in Hospitality and gaining food and beverage skills makes thus dual qualification very desirable to potential employers.

国际学生入学条件
While there is no formal academic entry requirement for this course, it is recommended applicants have completed Year 12 or equivalent.
The NSW Liquor and Gaming regulations require students to be 18 years of age or older if they are undertaking units that involve the service of alcohol and/or gaming operations.
Academic IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL (iBT) 46 or Certificate III in Advanced English for Further Study at TAFE NSW or equivalent.
