Course Description In this course you will explore marine biology, oceanography and management, examining the complex physical, chemical and biological interactions within the ocean. You will learn how to assess the state of the marine environment, recognize the impacts of climate change and be trained in marine management with an emphasis on coastal ecosystems. Studying Marine Science will help you develop a wide range of skills including state-of-the-art field techniques, laboratory and research training, scientific theory, problem solving, policy and management. As part of your studies, you will gain valuable experience in marine, coastal and estuarine environments with field camps and field trips along the coast of WA, and have the opportunity to get involved in industry and community projects.
