Course Description At Murdoch University you can combine a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree with a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology). Adding a Psychology degree to your law qualification will help you gain valuable, additional skills to use in your practice of law. The knowledge of psychology will help you develop a deeper understanding of human behaviour providing a better understanding and relationship to clients, which can aid in providing good legal counsel as well as improving negotiation, resolution and problem solving skills. The Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) will teach the major fields in psychology, including human development perception, emotion, learning, cognition, language, neuroscience, psychological health and wellbeing and psychological disorders in order to build expertise in the social and developmental areas of psychology. The Bachelor of Laws (LLB) will give you a solid foundation in each of the major areas of legal practice. You will have the opportunity to gain real world experience through our Work Integrated Learning program, which will allow you to work on real cases in our legal clinic, take part in our well established mooting program (where you will simulate real court room proceedings.) Plus you could even take your studies international and undertake units in Germany, Switzerland or Italy. Our Law degree is also accredited by the Ministry of Law in Singapore, the Malaysian Bar Council and the Indian Bar Council.
