Whether you want to enter the psychology profession or envisage a career as a criminologist or in the criminal justice field, the combined Bachelor of Criminology / Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) will be of special interest. You’ll learn all the major fields in psychology and explore areas such as human development; biological, social and cultural influences on individuals; psychological health and wellbeing, and psychological disorders. In addition, you will examine crime from a range of perspectives, including law, sociology and psychology and learn to challenge common perceptions of crime with insights into why people commit offences, how to reduce crime and how to help both victims and offenders in the criminal justice system. You can complete the Criminology component of the combined degree with a major in Criminal Behaviour, Crime Science or Legal Studies. The Bachelor of Arts in Psychology is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC).
