专业简介
This course provides an excellent framework in which to study a range of disciplines, enabling students to harness and refine their creative passions in the arts.
Students will cultivate a skill set which encompasses creative arts, strong research capabilities and diverse writing abilities. The opportunity of work placements in the thriving regional creative industries is also available, which will assist with the smooth transition from study to the work place.
Literature and Writing Major
Prepares students to enter the world of employment as a critical reader and thinker, and as as a skilled writer in a variety of styles and forms. These are marketable skills for leadership in many organizations.
Students with a passion for writing will be able to explore the work of other authors while nurturing their capacity for creativity.
Learning Outcomes
Apply relevant skills and knowledge to produce and realise creative written works and / or critical theoretical work.
Apply writing shills to develop professional opportunities through understanding of the application of writing in various contexts.
Demonstrate high level critical reading and written communication skills, reflective thinking and the ability to synthesis concepts.
Demonstrate knowledge of the critical language and key forms of literary arts practice in a regional context and through historical and international exemplars.
Possible future job titles
Writer, Communications Officer, Cultural Development Officer, Researcher.

Applicants must have obtained minimum of 24 points (minimum of 28 points for Law) consisting of aggregate from 3 higher level and 3 subsidiary level. English Language Requirements accepted: Academic IELTS: An overall band score of 6.0, with no individual band less than 6.0; TOEFL: Minimum score of 550, including Test of Written English of 5 or better; TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 70, with no individual score less than 17; GCE O Levels: Grade C or better; PTE Academic: PTE Academic 52, with no scores less than 50 for courses with a current requirement; University of Cambridge [Cambridge English: Advanced]: Pre-2015: A score between 52 - 57 with no less than 'Borderline' in any element of the test. Post-2015: An overall score of 169, with no individual band less than 169; or a minimum TOEFL score of 550 including TWE of 5.
