Produces graduates who are fully-equipped to enter the theatre and screen industry, and focuses on the development of knowledge and skills in the performing arts, with particular emphasis on specialist areas pertinent to acting.
The course provides a practical and theoretical approach to acting in theatre, film, television and other contemporary performance contexts. Subjects available to be studied include: Acting, Movement, Dance, Music, Voice, Performance History, Critical Analysis, Professional Practice, Screen Studies and Screen Acting.
Course Learning Outcomes
Adapt knowledge and skills in diverse contexts and genres to the rehearsal, production, technique, performance, management and evaluation of theatre ensemble productions.
Analyze the relationship between movement and acting in diverse contexts to successfully communicate knowledge and ideas in a variety of intentions and actions.
Apply and evaluate principles of sustainability and global perspectives in problem solving related to creation, the exploitation of intellectual property and other issues relevant to creative industries.
Apply innovation through the development of original products, using information, numeracy and technology literacy skills.
Collaborate in the production of works of creative expression for public display with the ability to evaluate team processes and outcomes.
Demonstrate broad and coherent knowledge of the theory, and methods encompassing the fundamental aspects of drama, acting, and theatre required for professional actors.
Demonstrate cross-cultural awareness, including awareness of Australian indigenous culture in relation to the creative industries, including the development and interpretation of media, design and visual culture.
Demonstrate methods and philosophies of acting through creative resourcefulness to judge plan, solve problems and make decisions in auditions, rehearsals and performances.
Demonstrate responsibility and accountability for own learning through reflective analysis of performances in rehearsals and technical aspects throughout the performance season.
Exercise critical thinking and judgement to identify and solve problems related to the research, rehearsal, development, and management of collaborative performance projects through effective preparation and performance.
Review, analyze, and synthesize knowledge to adapt vocal use for a variety of acoustic environments or demonstrate intentions through movements to engage audiences.

Applicants must have obtained minimum of 24 points (minimum of 28 points for Law) consisting of aggregate from 3 higher level and 3 subsidiary level. English Language Requirements accepted: Academic IELTS: An overall band score of 6.0, with no individual band less than 6.0; TOEFL: Minimum score of 550, including Test of Written English of 5 or better; TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 70, with no individual score less than 17; GCE O Levels: Grade C or better; PTE Academic: PTE Academic 52, with no scores less than 50 for courses with a current requirement; University of Cambridge [Cambridge English: Advanced]: Pre-2015: A score between 52 - 57 with no less than 'Borderline' in any element of the test. Post-2015: An overall score of 169, with no individual band less than 169; or a minimum TOEFL score of 550 including TWE of 5.
国际学生入学条件
All applicants are required to attend an audition. Entry into this course is talent-based, and prospective students will be comprehensively assessed through an audition process which is held in November-December each year. Australia wide auditions are conducted in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Overseas students are assessed by auditions sent electronically.
The audition includes a thorough assessment of inherent and trainable ability, the ability to meet the technical requirements of the course and suitability for the industry.
General admission requirements

Secondary school results.
Successful completion of one year of tertiary study from a recognised institution.
Completed Diploma program from a recognised institution.
English Minimum Requirements
Academic IELTS: An overall band score of 6.0, with no individual band less than 6.0
TOEFL: Minimum score of 550, including Test of Written English of 5 or better
TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 70, with no individual score less than 17
GCE O Level: Grade C or better
WAUFP: 50% plus pass in ELACS
International Baccalaureate Diploma: Minimum grade 3 at higher level for an English subject, or minimum grade of 4 at standard level for an English subject
Pearson Test of English (PTE): PTE Academic 52, with no scores less than 50 for courses with a current requirement of Academic IELTS 6.0
University of Cambridge [Cambridge English: Advanced]: Post-2015: An overall score of 169, with no individual band less than 169.
Edexcel International GCSE: English Language A, English Language B, or English Literature - Grade C or above; English as a Second Language (ESL) - Grade B or above.
