专业简介
The Diploma of Journalism develops multi-skilled journalists ready to take on the dynamic and ever changing media environment. Students will learn practical skills such as how to write, edit, record and produce audio and video stories, report via mobile phone, set up web pages and conduct data research. Students will also gain essential digital skills expected by the industry including mobile journalism and social media journalism.
Designed and taught by industry professionals, the course focuses on the latest digital trends in journalism and newsroom practice. The small classes feature personalised teaching that nurtures each student’s unique strength and addresses weaknesses. Students put their learning into practice through Macleay’s internship program in order to build their professional networks and experience what it’s really like to work in Journalism.

Secondary Education Applicants must have completed an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate (Year 12) equivalent qualification within the last two years.
Applicants with Vocational Education & Training (VET) Study
To gain entry to the Diploma of Journalism, VET Applicants must have completed a relevant VET qualification at Certificate IV level or higher within the last five years. All applicants must present evidence of their VET qualification(s) and academic results.
Applicants with Higher Education Study
To gain entry to the Diploma of Journalism, Higher Education Applicants must have undertaken a relevant tertiary qualification within the last five years. All Higher Education Applicants must present evidence of their qualification(s) and academic results.
