Allows students to develop an understanding of the factors that affect performance in occupations of self-care, education, work, social participation, and play and leisure for individuals, groups and populations through the lifespan.
Fieldwork placements throughout the course provide students with valuable learning experiences in a range of settings. Graduates will possess a sound knowledge and understanding of professional principles and processes and will be able to generalize their attributes and skills in new situations.
Course Learning Outcomes
Apply broad occupational therapy knowledge to a range of theoretical and practical situations.
Communicate occupational therapy knowledge and ideas clearly, coherently and with independence.
Demonstrate broad global perspectives and ethical considerations, with respect for cultural diversity including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural competence.
Demonstrate initiative and accountability for own learning and professional practice.
Think creatively to anticipate challenges and generate solutions and responses in new situations.
Think critically to evaluate, interpret and conceptualize complex occupational solutions.
Use assistive technologies, digital technologies and contemporary literacies to assess, evaluate and synthesize information in occupational therapy contexts.

Applicants must have obtained minimum of 24 points (minimum of 28 points for Law) consisting of aggregate from 3 higher level and 3 subsidiary level. English Language Requirements accepted: Academic IELTS: An overall band score of 6.0, with no individual band less than 6.0; TOEFL: Minimum score of 550, including Test of Written English of 5 or better; TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 70, with no individual score less than 17; GCE O Levels: Grade C or better; PTE Academic: PTE Academic 52, with no scores less than 50 for courses with a current requirement; University of Cambridge [Cambridge English: Advanced]: Pre-2015: A score between 52 - 57 with no less than 'Borderline' in any element of the test. Post-2015: An overall score of 169, with no individual band less than 169; or a minimum TOEFL score of 550 including TWE of 5.

WAUFP: 50% plus pass in ELACS
International Baccalaureate Diploma: Minimum grade 3 at higher level for an English subject, or minimum grade of 4 at standard level for an English subject
Pearson Test of English (PTE): PTE Academic 52, with no scores less than 50 for courses with a current requirement of Academic IELTS 6.0
University of Cambridge [Cambridge English: Advanced]: Post-2015: An overall score of 169, with no individual band less than 169.
Edexcel International GCSE: English Language A, English Language B, or English Literature - Grade C or above; English as a Second Language (ESL) - Grade B or above.
