Provides a broad knowledge and skill base that will enable students to act independently and interdependently as a registered nurse within the healthcare industry.
The course comprises three broad streams of study: Nursing Concepts and Skills, Applied Health Science and Nursing Practice.
Course Learning Outcomes
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary health care team to provide comprehensive nursing care.
Conduct a comprehensive and systematic nursing Assessment.
Coordinate, organize and provide nursing care that includes the assessment of individuals /groups, planning, implementation and evaluation of care.
Demonstrate critical thinking and analysis related to self-appraisal, professional development and the value of evidence and research for practice with reflection on practice, feelings and beliefs and the consequences of these for individuals/groups.
Demonstrate knowledge of the role of the Registered Nurse that encompasses professional, legal and ethical responsibilities including accountability for practice, functioning in accordance with legislation affecting nursing and health care, and the protection of individual and group rights.
Establish, maintain and appropriately conclude therapeutic relationships.
Establish, sustain and conclude professional relationships with individuals/groups through an understanding of Registered Nurses contribution to the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Evaluate progress towards expected individual/group health outcomes in consultation with individuals/groups, significant others and interdisciplinary health care team.
Participate in ongoing professional development of self and others.
Plan nursing care in consultation with individuals/groups, significant others and the interdisciplinary health care team.
Practice responsibly in accordance with legislation affecting nursing practice and health care.
Practice within a professional and ethical nursing Framework.
Provide comprehensive, safe and effective evidence-based nursing care to achieve identified individual/group health outcomes.
Review, analyze and synthesize knowledge to enable the provision of comprehensive, safe and effective evidence-based nursing care to achieve identified individual/group health outcomes.

Applicants must have obtained minimum of 24 points (minimum of 28 points for Law) consisting of aggregate from 3 higher level and 3 subsidiary level. English Language Requirements accepted: Academic IELTS: An overall band score of 6.0, with no individual band less than 6.0; TOEFL: Minimum score of 550, including Test of Written English of 5 or better; TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 70, with no individual score less than 17; GCE O Levels: Grade C or better; PTE Academic: PTE Academic 52, with no scores less than 50 for courses with a current requirement; University of Cambridge [Cambridge English: Advanced]: Pre-2015: A score between 52 - 57 with no less than 'Borderline' in any element of the test. Post-2015: An overall score of 169, with no individual band less than 169; or a minimum TOEFL score of 550 including TWE of 5.

GCE O Level: Grade C or better
WAUFP: 50% plus pass in ELACS
International Baccalaureate Diploma: Minimum grade 3 at higher level for an English subject, or minimum grade of 4 at standard level for an English subject
Pearson Test of English (PTE): PTE Academic 52, with no scores less than 50 for courses with a current requirement of Academic IELTS 6.0
University of Cambridge [Cambridge English: Advanced]: Post-2015: An overall score of 169, with no individual band less than 169.
Edexcel International GCSE: English Language A, English Language B, or English Literature - Grade C or above; English as a Second Language (ESL) - Grade B or above.
