This program will prepare you for a leading role in the food industry. You'll gain food technology, nutrition and engineering skills in the key areas of product development and production systems. The program aims to produce graduates with skills and capabilities relevant to large-scale production of food. You’ll learn how to design the plant, the process and the product. This is ideal if you're interested in: developing new products, design processes and packaging a broader range of roles in the food processing industry improving the efficiency of the food processing industry Studying at RMIT gives you plenty of hands-on experience, thanks to our strong links with major food industry companies and our well-equipped laboratories. Become highly employable in this growth industry in product development, food regulation, quality assurance and research. The program allows you to complete two degrees in a reduced amount of time and increases your employment prospects. You will interact with a wide range of relevant industries and broaden your career prospects. Multiple campuses The first half of the Food Technology and Nutrition program is conducted on the City campus and the second half on the Bundoora campus. The Chemical Engineering program is based at the City campus. Career As Victoria's largest manufacturing industry, food processing offers excellent employment opportunities. Graduates find jobs in large food processing companies such as Nestlé, Cadbury, Simplot, Heinz and Mondelez in research and development, marketing or quality assurance roles. Further study When you successfully complete the Bachelor of Science (Food Technology and Nutrition)/Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical Engineering) (Honours) and achieve a minimum GPA of 2.0 and complete the prerequisite courses, you are guaranteed entry into the Master of Food Science and Technology with 1 semester of advanced standing (equivalent to 48 credit points). Pre-requisite courses include: CHEM1083 or CHEM1286 Food Chemistry ONPS2435 or ONPS2510 Rheology and Food Biophysics ONPS1113 or ONPS2496 Product Development OHTH2068 or OHTH2172 Nutrition, Health and Disease Alternatively, you may be eligible for entry into other RMIT postgraduate or Masters by Research or Doctoral (PhD) programs.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must have obtained a score of 25 - 31. Applicants must have completed a recognized equivalent Year 12 studies program to the required standard. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic): 6.5 (no band less than 6.0); TOEFL (Paper Based Test) score of 580 (TWE* 4.5); TOEFL (Internet Based Test – iBT): Overall score 92 with minimum of 20 in all sections; Pearson Test of English (Academic) (PTE (A)): 58 (no communication band less than 50); Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE): 176 with no less than 169 in any component. 国际学生入学条件 You must have successfully completed an Australian Year 12 (or equivalent senior secondary school qualification) with a minimum average of 70%.
