专业简介
This selective-entry, research-oriented four-year honours program is designed for capable and highly motivated students who want experience with hands-on involvement in research projects.
You have the opportunity to major one of the following areas:
biology
biotechnology
chemistry
physics
computer science
geospatial science
mathematics
statistics
These provide focused study in the major study areas as preparation for higher degree programs.
The program also offers opportunities for you to engage with research groups and get involved in their research projects. It is also a pathway into higher degrees by research such as a PhD.
Multiple campuses
Biology and Biotechnology courses run at both the City and Bundoora campuses.
Chemistry and Physics courses run at the City campus.
International student visa holders can only study full-time.
Career
After graduating, you will be qualified to work in a government, industry or academic research laboratory or continue studying in a higher degree program. Graduates will be prepared with the research skills and advanced knowledge needed to solve real-world problems.
Further study
When you successfully complete this program, you may be eligible for entry into an RMIT postgraduate program or RMIT Masters by Research or Doctoral (PhD) program.

Applicants must have obtained a score of 25 - 31. Applicants must have completed a recognized equivalent Year 12 studies program to the required standard. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic): 6.5 (no band less than 6.0); TOEFL (Paper Based Test) score of 580 (TWE* 4.5); TOEFL (Internet Based Test – iBT): Overall score 92 with minimum of 20 in all sections; Pearson Test of English (Academic) (PTE (A)): 58 (no communication band less than 50); Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE): 176 with no less than 169 in any component.

To study this program you will need to complete one of the following English proficiency tests:
IELTS (Academic): minimum overall band of 6.5 (with no individual band below 6.0)
TOEFL (Paper Based Test): minimum score of 580 (TWE 4.5)
TOEFL (Internet Based Test - IBT): minimum overall score of 92 (with minimum of 20 in all sections)
Pearson Test of English (Academic) (PTE (A)): minimum score of 58 (with no communication band less than 50)
Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): minimum of 176 with no less than 169 in any component
