This course is designed for those who don't have the qualifications needed for the BSc/MSci Physics, but who demonstrate scientific potential through good passes in GCSE Mathematics and Science or workplace experience.In the preliminary year you will study mathematics and physics and choose a third subject that is appropriate to your own background and needs. You will then be ready to join the BSc Physics degree.The course gives you the opportunity to develop a physicist's broad range of skills, including problem-solving, numeracy, teamwork and the ability to communicate complicated concepts. You can expand your skill set further by taking part in physics-specific employability sessions, which include presentation skills and entrepreneurship.You will join a friendly department with a very active, award-winning student society.
