The rise of the Brazilian and Angolan economies and recent major sporting events in Brazil mean Portuguese speakers are increasingly in demand.You can begin to study one language from scratch or build on existing experience. Both departments offer a lively, friendly and supportive environment.You will divide your year abroad between a Russian-speaking and a Portuguese-speaking environment. There are a wide range of placements to choose from. For example you could study in a university, teach English or work in a multinational company or non-governmental organisation.
