Our focus is on China, India, Indonesia and Japan. Our aim is to produce graduates who are globally minded thinkers and innovators ready to collaborate with our neighbours for the peace and prosperity of the region.

Asian Studies brings you closer to our nearest neighbours. It trains you for a career in a range of fields including government and public service, international relations, NGOs, intelligence and security, media, business, tourism, trade, customs, immigration, international development, foreign aid, education and academic research.

Recent La Trobe Arts graduates have gone on to become journalists at the ABC, advisers to federal cabinet ministers, adviser to the Parliamentary Secretary of Australia and multimedia coordinator at the Carlton Football Club.

Applicants must have completion of Australian Year 12 with certain grade. IB Diploma: 24 -33. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.0 with no band less than 6.0; TOEFL Paper-based Test - Overall score of 550 with 5 or better in TWE (Test of Written English); TOEFL Internet based (iBT): Overall 64 with 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking and 21 in Writing, Pearson Test of English (Academic) (PTE): Overall score of 50 with no communicative skill score less than 50, Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE): 169 with no less than 169 in any component, Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): 169 with no less than 169 in any component.
国际学生入学条件
Entry into a Bachelor Degree program at La Trobe University requires completion of Australian Year 12 with certain grade. Students from other countries should have country specific requirements equivalent to Australia.
Subject prerequisites
Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or 20 in any other English.
