The Bachelor of Economics (Honours) is a stimulating and challenging program that will teach you how to conduct research at an international standard. Entry is competitive and is based on your undergraduate GPA. Complete a range of courses that will develop the advanced knowledge and skills needed to complete quantitative research. You'll use this knowledge to write a thesis, which is a major part of the honours program. Choose an honours field that best aligns with your undergraduate studies or your interests. Push the boundaries and develop high-level skills in critical and analytical thinking, research, communication, problem-solving and project management.

Econometrics
The Honours program in Econometrics provides students with professional training in microeconomics, macroeconomics and applied and theoretical econometrics. As a student in this specialisation, you'll undertake coursework that will prepare you for a PhD, and learn the appropriate research methods to conduct an independent research project.

Students are required to complete international equivalent to Australian Year 12 (or equivalent). Academic minimum entry requirements for international applicants vary from country to country. English language requirements: IELTS: Overall Band Score of 6.5 and a minimum score of 6 in each sub-band of Writing, Reading, Speaking and Listening; or TOEFL (Internet-Based-iBT): Overall score 87 with a Writing score of 21 and Reading, Speaking and Listening scores of 19; or TOEFL (Paper-based): Overall score of 570 and a minimum score of 5.0 in the Test of Written English (TWE) and 54 in Listening and Reading; or PTE: Overall score of 64 with 60 in each communicative skills section; or CAE/CPE: Overall Cambridge English Scale (CES) score of 176 with a minimum score of 169 in each skill; or BEP: A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all four macro skills.
