This program allows you to choose from over 40 study areas across the humanities, social sciences and languages, giving you the opportunity to study the subjects you love. Combine your Bachelor of Arts with 14 other undergraduate degrees including Law, Engineering, Science or Business, enabling you to complete two degrees in a shorter amount of time. Structure your program into two single majors; or an extended major and a minor; or one single major and two minors. Any major can also be studied as a minor. Access state-of-the-art facilities including laboratories, a fully equipped drama theatre, industry-standard media studios and editing suites, and a UN-standard interpreter training facility. Geography / Extended Geography has never been more relevant or important. Geographers are actively involved in addressing issues like climate change and population growth by studying natural and human environments and activities. As a student in the Geography major, you'll develop your understanding of the relationship between natural systems (climate, landscape, biota) and social systems (human populations, economic activity, society and culture). You'll also have the option of studying topics such as the geography of Australia, resource management, meteorology, climate change, and GIS. In total there are more than 30 elective courses to choose from. Career outcomes Graduates of the Geography major typically work in a broad range of roles in areas like natural resource management (including coastal, river and catchment systems), national parks and wildlife conservation, ecotourism, planning the delivery of services (e.g. health or infrastructure), environmental consultancy, environmental monitoring and pollution control, transport, and planning.
