This program prepares you to manage the creation and implementation of efficient and sustainable strategies over the logistics life cycle across the entire supply chain.
You will gain invaluable insights from leading industry organizations, spanning from primary production to manufacturing, shipping, distribution and retail and master a range of strategic management competencies to advance your career in business and government organizations locally, nationally and internationally.
What you will study
RMIT has one of the oldest and largest supply chain and logistics management departments of any university in Australia.
By studying a Master of Supply Chain and Logistics Management at RMIT, students will gain a holistic understanding of how to manage the sourcing and procurement of primary materials, transportation of goods and the negotiation of contracts and services to satisfy end-users.
Electives and program structure
On-campus
The master degree comprises core and elective courses. You will study core courses in supply chain, and have the opportunity to specialize in either strategic procurement or maritime transport logistics in the second half of the program.
Visits to public and private companies and/or guest lectures by selected company executives will supplement your studies in Professional Logistics Practice.
Complete a six month internship to nurture your operational capabilities and hands-on skills.
Select from a range of global mobility options to kick-start your global career.
It is recommended that you follow the sequence of courses presented in the enrolment structure.
RMIT Online
The online master degree comprises 12 core courses, delivered across six study periods, allowing you to focus on one course at a time.
In both delivery models, you will explore a complex problem, and test and evaluate potential solutions with industry and community stakeholders in the compulsory course, Business Research Design.

Applicants must have completed a bachelor degree requiring at least four years of full-time study in a relevant discipline awarded with honours. The degree should include a research component comprised of a thesis, other research projects or research methodology courses that constitute at least 25% of a full-time academic year (or part-time equivalent). The applicant must have achieved at least a distinction average in the final year; or a master degree that includes a research component comprised of at least 25% of a full-time academic year (or part-time equivalent) with an overall distinction average or a master degree without a research component with at least a high distinction average. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic): 6.5 (no band less than 6.0); TOEFL (Paper Based Test) score of 580 (TWE* 4.5); TOEFL (Internet Based Test – iBT): Overall score 92 with minimum of 20 in all sections; Pearson Test of English (Academic) (PTE (A)): 58 (no communication band less than 50); Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE): 176 with no less than 169 in any component.

An Australian Bachelor degree, Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma or Master’s degree (or equivalent overseas qualification) in Business (or a related discipline).
OR
An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent overseas qualification) in any discipline and a minimum of three years full-time equivalent management experience.
English language requirements
To study this program you will need to complete one of the following English proficiency tests:
IELTS (Academic): minimum overall band of 6.5 (with no individual band below 6.0)
TOEFL (Paper Based Test): minimum score of 580 (TWE 4.5)
TOEFL (Internet Based Test - IBT): minimum overall score of 92 (with minimum of 20 in all sections)
Pearson Test of English (Academic) (PTE (A)): minimum score of 58 (with no communication band less than 50)
Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): minimum of 176 with no less than 169 in any component
