The aviation industry is global, competitive and driven by rapidly changing market forces. This program is focused on equipping you with the skills to achieve results. The program combines core studies spanning the breadth of the aviation industry with the opportunity to specialize in a range of areas including: business and management transportation and logistics remotely piloted aircraft systems analytics airworthiness aerospace technology During your specialization, you’ll update your understanding of the industry and be exposed to issues faced by complementary sectors. You’ll also gain the skills to analyze and implement creative solutions and enhance your leadership and communication skills. An aviation research project will allow you to consolidate and expand the knowledge gained throughout the program. You'll also have the opportunity to work on an in-depth qualitative and/or quantitative study that has a technical and/or managerial application. International student visa holders can only study full-time. Multiple campuses Some projects in the Aviation Research Project course may require travel to the Bundoora campus. Alternative projects based entirely at the Melbourne City campus are available. Program structure The Master of Science (Aviation) consists of 192 credit points. After completing 96 credit points of study approved by the Program Manager, you may exit with a graduate diploma. With a rapidly growing population that seeks to travel internationally, the need for well-planned and managed airlines, airports and related organizations will become even more important. Graduates with a postgraduate qualification will be suited for a range of high-level operational management and planning roles in the aviation industry.
