Electives and program structure
The Master degree comprises ten core and two elective courses. Not all courses are available in each semester; it is recommended that you follow the sequence of courses presented in the enrollment structure.
Features
Explore a complex problem, and test and evaluate potential solutions with industry and community stakeholders in the course Business Research Design.
The capstone course Executive Consulting draws together the knowledge and skills you have acquired in the program. It focuses on the practical aspects of business leadership with an emphasis on corporate decision-making in an international setting.
Career
Our EMBA students often begin our program with pre-conceptions about their careers, their capabilities and the jobs that await them.
As they become immersed in our program, they are introduced to new ways of thinking. They explore innovative problem-solving techniques, discover the strength of collaboration and are encouraged to think deeply and analytically about the global future. In other words, they undergo a transformation - they begin to develop the approaches of a 21st century senior business leader.
Further study
When you successfully complete the Master of Business Administration (Executive) you may be eligible for entry into an RMIT Masters by Research or Doctoral (PhD) program.

Applicants must have completed a bachelor degree requiring at least four years of full-time study in a relevant discipline awarded with honours. The degree should include a research component comprised of a thesis, other research projects or research methodology courses that constitute at least 25% of a full-time academic year (or part-time equivalent). The applicant must have achieved at least a distinction average in the final year; or a master degree that includes a research component comprised of at least 25% of a full-time academic year (or part-time equivalent) with an overall distinction average or a master degree without a research component with at least a high distinction average. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic): 6.5 (no band less than 6.0); TOEFL (Paper Based Test) score of 580 (TWE* 4.5); TOEFL (Internet Based Test – iBT): Overall score 92 with minimum of 20 in all sections; Pearson Test of English (Academic) (PTE (A)): 58 (no communication band less than 50); Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE): 176 with no less than 169 in any component.

An Australian Bachelor degree, Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma or Master’s degree (or equivalent overseas qualification) in any discipline and a GMAT overall minimum score of 600 and evidence of a minimum of 3 years full-time equivalent work experience in a management role with supervisory responsibilities.
English language requirements
To study this program you will need to complete one of the following English proficiency tests:
IELTS (Academic): minimum overall band of 6.5 (with no individual band below 6.0)
TOEFL (Paper Based Test): minimum score of 580 (TWE 4.5)
TOEFL (Internet Based Test - IBT): minimum overall score of 92 (with minimum of 20 in all sections)
Pearson Test of English (Academic) (PTE (A)): minimum score of 58 (with no communication band less than 50)
Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): minimum of 176 with no less than 169 in any component.
