Gain the skills to critically examine markets and customers and develop effective marketing strategies by exploring buyer behaviour, brand management, product innovation and digital marketing. RMIT’s marketing degrees focus on developing skills, knowledge and practices that are linked to industry expectations. You will experience this first-hand in core and elective marketing courses, by examining case studies, and through opportunities to work in industry or on real industry-based projects. The three-year program combines core business studies with specialist marketing courses and the option to choose additional sequences of study, including advanced specializations in marketing, or courses in other business or related disciplines. Electives and program structure The program is structured to allow you to supplement specialized studies in marketing with four courses to suit your career or personal development goals. The program consists of 24 courses (each 12 credit points) and includes: 8 compulsory common business core courses 12 business discipline major courses 4 flexible courses. The 4 flexible courses can be selected from 2 options: minor courses (any discipline, including business) 4 electives. Career Recent RMIT marketing degree graduates are working in industries as diverse as telecommunications, automotive, logistics, retail, property, e-commerce and marketing in roles covering: digital marketing social media customer and business analytics sales and marketing campaign development. Pathway options You are guaranteed entry into the Bachelor of Business (Marketing) with credit when you successfully complete the following RMIT programs: Associate Degree in Business - you will receive 3 semesters of advanced standing (equivalent to 144 credit points) Advanced Diploma of Accounting - you will receive 2 semesters of advanced standing (equivalent to 120 credit points) Advanced Diploma of International Business - you will receive 2 semesters of advanced standing (equivalent to 108 credit points) Diploma of Commerce - you will receive 2 semesters of advanced standing (equivalent to 96 credit points) Diploma of Information Technology - you will receive 1 semester of advanced standing (equivalent to 60 credit points) Diploma of Financial Services - you will receive 1 semester of advanced standing (equivalent to 48 credit points) Alternatively, you can gain entry from RMIT Foundation Studies or a range of vocational study programs. Further study When you successfully complete this program you may be eligible for entry into the Bachelor of Business (Honours). Alternatively, you may be eligible for entry into other RMIT honours or other postgraduate programs.
