The South, West and Wales Doctoral Training Partnership has designed an innovative doctoral training programme that will equip students with the skills and understanding that stem from broad experience of not only their immediate research environment, but also of wider public and professional contexts. A unique, dedicated programme, the Professional Arts and Humanities Researcher, extends doctoral training to include an understanding of public humanities; this encompasses engagement and knowledge exchange, both vital facets of contemporary research, and an understanding of the cultural economy and digital humanities. The Professional Arts and Humanities Researcher will be delivered in collaboration with our partner organisations. Their in-house training and other tailored activities have been specially designed for the South West and Wales Doctoral Training Partnership. These will be brought together as a menu of opportunities for students that address the core themes of digital humanities and public humanities.
