The Bachelor of Science (Honours) programme involves one year of full-time study, or two years of part-time study, after you have completed the requirements for the Bachelor of Science. After graduating with a BSc (Hons), it’s possible to progress to a Master of Science (MSc) degree. If you achieve First or Second Class First Division Honours in your BSc(Hons), you’ll be eligible for direct entry to a PhD. Medicinal Chemistry: Postgraduate study in Medicinal Chemistry combines advanced courses in Chemistry, Biology and Medicinal Science with laboratory work and a year-long research project supervised by an academic staff member in the School of Chemical Sciences. You will explore various aspects of Medicinal Chemistry, including synthesis, reactivity and analysis of medicinal compounds. You will also develop the ability to provide valuable insight into the pharmacological, regulatory and ethical aspects of these bioactive molecules.
