专业简介
Extend your knowledge in your specialist area at postgraduate level with our honours programme.
The Bachelor of Science (Honours) programme involves one year of full-time study, or two years of part-time study, after you have completed the requirements for the Bachelor of Science.
After graduating with a BSc (Hons), it’s possible to progress to a Master of Science (MSc) degree. If you achieve First or Second Class First Division Honours in your BSc(Hons), you’ll be eligible for direct entry to a PhD.
Geography:
You can study Geography as a postgraduate specialisation in either the Faculty of Science or Faculty of Arts programmes.
If you are an aspiring geologist and physical geographer, you can explore themes in climatology, hydrology and biogeography and fundamental concepts in geomorphology and learn about mapping and analysing information using GIS. Or, you may want to concentrate on human geography and delve into understanding how different views and attitudes influence people's interactions with the environment, globalisation and its effect, and environmental management.
Areas of research interests open to exploration include:
Physical and biological systems
Resource management
Economic and social structures
Spatial organization
Cultural landscapes and geographical information science
