WHAT IS IT LIKE?
The Master of Veterinary Studies (MVS) is a internationally recognised veterinary degree, most suited to veterinarians who are focused on professional development and progressing their career. It takes place on the Manawatu campus only.

Massey’s Master of Veterinary Studies can be built around your particular and personal academic needs. The MVS with no endorsement means you can choose from a wide range of courses and gain a broad-base of in-depth veterinary knowledge. Within the MVS the range of research opportunities is wide and includes most fields of veterinary science from anatomy to animal welfare.
The classroom experience is interactive and there is opportunity for research at an entry level.
Take less time
This degree is now 180 credits, which means you can complete this degree in 1.5 years full time.
Research flexibility
You can choose two different levels of research for this degree. You can complete a 60-credit research report, or if you would like to complete more in-depth research you can work on a 120 credit thesis to complete the research component of this degree.
The remainder of this qualification is taught.

Structure
You shall follow a parts-based course of study, which shall consist of courses totalling at least 180 credits, comprising Part One and Part Two as defined by the Course Schedule.
Progression - A master’s qualification is made up of two parts. The first part gives you good knowledge and skills that will help you with the research part of your qualification. You must pass Part One before you can progress to Part Two.
For progression to Part Two of the Master of Veterinary Studies, a B Grade Average is needed for the Part One courses.

An appropriate undergraduate degree from a recognised tertiary institution is required. English Language Requirements: IELTS - 6.5 (no band less than 6.0); TOEFL iBT- 90 overall (min 20 in Writing); PTE Academic - 58 Overall (min 50 in communicative skills); Cambridge English - 180.
国际学生入学条件
Admission to the Degree of Master of Veterinary Studies requires you to have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science with at least a B grade average, or equivalent.
Students from a country where English is not the first language, must obtain a minimum English Language competency level.
IELTS score of 6.5 (no band less than 6.0)
TOEFL iBT score of 90 overall (min 20 in Writing)
PTE Academic score of 58 Overall (min 50 in communicative skills)
Cambridge English score of 176 overall and all bands 169 or better
