What is it Like?
In the Bachelor of AgriCommerce (International Agribusiness) you’ll learn about the global agri-food system. This includes everything from on-farm procurement in New Zealand to export and distribution of food and other agricultural products to consumers around the world.
You’ll learn about production sciences, agri-food value chains, manufacturing, distribution and logistics, international finance and the trade and marketing skills required to take New Zealand’s agri-food industry to the global marketplace.
Real-world experience
Your learning will focus on real-world case studies and will include field trips to provide the experience sought by employers.
This three-year world-class programme will teach you about farm production systems, supply chain management, marketing, food economies, and international agribusiness.
Practical experience while you study
During your degree you will gain a huge amount of practical experience. This experience will include at least 26 weeks of paid employment undertaken in agriculture and related sectors. That will give you an advantage with potential employers.

Structure
At Massey a credit system is used for our degrees. To complete a Bachelor of AgriCommerce the following is required.
Total of 360 credits completed. That’s 24 courses of 15 credits each
Up to 165 credits (11 courses) may be completed at 100-level
At least 195 credits (13 courses) completed above first year. Of these 75 credits or more must be from 300-level courses
26 weeks of relevant practical work and two associated reports
This course is also offered by the School of Economics and Finance.

Applicants must have completed New Zealand secondary school qualification or other equivalent overseas qualification. English Language Requirements: IELTS score of 5.0 (no band less than 5.0). TOEFL iBT score of 61 overall (min 17 in Reading & Writing). PTE Academic score of 36 Overall (min 36 in communicative skills). Cambridge English score of 155.

Students must have successful completion of a qualification equivalent to the New Zealand Year 13 - NCEA Level 3 University Entrance. International students need to check the equivalency of their secondary school qualification by reviewing the Academic Admission Requirements by Country.
Students from a country where English is not the first language, must obtain a minimum English Language competency level.
IELTS score of 6.0 (no band less than 5.5)
TOEFL iBT score of 80 overall (min 19 in Writing)
PTE Academic score of 50 Overall (min 42 in communicative skills)
Cambridge English score of 169 overall and all bands 162 or better
