The Master of Management will increase your business knowledge to help move your career in a new direction. You don’t have to have a qualification in business to undertake this master’s.
What is it Like?
If you do not have previous communication experience, but have found yourself a manager of communications staff, or if you are looking at moving into a management role in the communications area, Massey’s Master of Management (Communication) will give you the in-depth knowledge and skills you need.
Communication management is about understanding and strategically managing all communication channels within an organisation. This is a constantly growing area, with social media, web, text, chat and apps giving increasing numbers of ways to communicate to both an external and internal audience. A role in communication management can be very demanding and involves an ability to multi-task and constantly re-priorities. It is a vital role within an organisation, helping the effectiveness of all communication channels.
This qualification is very focused on communication management versus some of our other postgraduate qualifications that look at communications in a broader context.
You do not need previous qualifications in communication management to study a Master of Management.

The course of study for students who have already completed a Postgraduate Diploma or Honours will be 60 credits from Part 1 & 60 credits from Part 2.

An appropriate undergraduate degree from a recognised tertiary institution is required. English Language Requirements: IELTS - 6.5 (no band less than 6.0); TOEFL iBT- 90 overall (min 20 in Writing); PTE Academic - 58 Overall (min 50 in communicative skills); Cambridge English - 180.
国际学生入学条件
Applicants for the Master of Management will have:
been awarded or qualified for a relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification, having achieved a grade average of at least B- in the highest level courses; or
been awarded or qualified for a Postgraduate Diploma in Business and Administration with a B- grade average, or equivalent.
Students from a country where English is not the first language, must obtain a minimum English Language competency level.
IELTS score of 6.5 (no band less than 6.0)
TOEFL iBT score of 90 overall (min 20 in Writing)
PTE Academic score of 58 Overall (min 50 in communicative skills)
Cambridge English score of 176 overall and all bands 169 or better
