WHAT IS IT LIKE?
The Master of Agriculture is a professional masters programme, specifically tailored for people working in the primary industries who may be seeking an appointment to a senior position or taking on a leadership role in an agricultural-related industry.

The global push for solutions to major environmental problems, such as climate change, has resulted in an increased emphasis on the resource requirements (footprint) of consumer goods, including food and fibre products.
Broad range of disciplines
The Master of Agriculture (Life Cycle Management (LCM) encompasses a broad range of disciplines, including agribusiness, logistics and supply chain management, agricultural and horticultural systems and sustainable processing technologies.
Research opportunities for you include the environmental impact of primary production systems, resource use efficiency, environmental certification, trade policy and market access issues.
Massey University has a wide range of other facilities which are available for use by postgraduate students. Dairy, sheep and beef and deer farms are located adjacent to the Palmerston North campus. In addition, a number of research facilities are also available, including the Pasture and Crop Research Unit, the Fertiliser and Lime Research Centre, the New Zealand Centre for Precision Agriculture and Seed Tech Services, an ISTA-accredited seed testing laboratory.
A unique project
Course work will include 120 credits of taught material. The remaining 60 credits are composed of a unique professionally-focused research project. This project will take place in the work force, helping you produce a relevant, industry-related piece of work that will be immediately useful to you and the industry upon completion.

Complementing your existing skills with advanced knowledge, analytical, project management and communication skills will be valued by a wide range of primary industry organisations particularly in supervisory and management roles.
The primary industries are a growing sector and there are great employment and business opportunities for suitably qualified graduates.
Master of Agriculture (Life Cycle Management) structure
You will follow a parts-based course of study, which shall consist of courses totalling at least 180 credits, comprising Part One and Part Two as defined by the Courses Schedule below. This may include no more than 30 credits of special topic courses and no more than 30 credits of professional development (5 credit) courses. Your qualification includes a research report to the value of 60 credits.

An appropriate undergraduate degree from a recognised tertiary institution is required. English Language Requirements: IELTS - 6.5 (no band less than 6.0); TOEFL iBT- 90 overall (min 20 in Writing); PTE Academic - 58 Overall (min 50 in communicative skills); Cambridge English - 180.
国际学生入学条件
Admission to the Master of Agriculture (Life Cycle Management) requires you to have a Bachelor of AgriScience degree, with a major in the intended postgraduate subject, or equivalent, and have achieved a B average over the 300–level majoring courses.
Students from a country where English is not the first language, must obtain a minimum English Language competency level.
IELTS score of 6.5 (no band less than 6.0)
TOEFL iBT score of 90 overall (min 20 in Writing)
PTE Academic score of 58 Overall (min 50 in communicative skills)
Cambridge English score of 176 overall and all bands 169 or better
