The Master of Agriculture is a professional masters programme, specifically tailored for people working in the primary industries who may be seeking an appointment to a senior position or taking on a leadership role in an agricultural-related industry.
Variety of research topics
In the Master of Agriculture (Horticulture) you will be able to select from a wide range of subjects. Horticultural research at Massey is focused on environmental and developmental physiology of fruit, and vegetable crops, as well as post-harvest handling. Other topics include horticultural systems, landscape horticulture, Maori horticulture and agricultural engineering.

These include the Fruit Crops Unit, the Plant Growth Unit, the Fertiliser and Lime Research Centre, the New Zealand Centre for Precision Agriculture, and Seed Tech Services, an ISTA accredited seed testing laboratory.

Master of Agriculture (Horticulture) structure
You will follow a parts-based course of study, which shall consist of courses totalling at least 180 credits, comprising Part One and Part Two as defined by the Courses Schedule below. This may include no more than 30 credits of special topic courses and no more than 30 credits of professional development (5 credit) courses. Your qualification includes a research report to the value of 60 credits.

An appropriate undergraduate degree from a recognised tertiary institution is required. English Language Requirements: IELTS - 6.5 (no band less than 6.0); TOEFL iBT- 90 overall (min 20 in Writing); PTE Academic - 58 Overall (min 50 in communicative skills); Cambridge English - 180.
国际学生入学条件
Admission to the Master of Agriculture (Horticulture) requires you to have a Bachelor of AgriScience degree, with a major in the intended postgraduate subject, or equivalent, and have achieved a B average over the 300–level majoring courses.
Students from a country where English is not the first language, must obtain a minimum English Language competency level.
IELTS score of 6.5 (no band less than 6.0)
TOEFL iBT score of 90 overall (min 20 in Writing)
PTE Academic score of 58 Overall (min 50 in communicative skills)
Cambridge English score of 176 overall and all bands 169 or better
