The degree includes a minimum of 1100 hours of supervised clinical practice, which takes place in a wide variety of settings. Graduates completing the full programme will be eligible to sit the State Final Examination and apply to the Nursing Council of New Zealand for registration as a nurse. Enrolled nurses, midwives and graduates from other degrees wishing to achieve registration as a nurse may be admitted with advanced standing.
