In this case, your programme will be made up of a combination of modules from both Music and Music Technology. Combining Music and Music Technology at Keele, your passions for music, creativity and technology will thrive under the tuition of world- leading experts and creative practitioners. As a Music and Music Technology Keele graduate, you will boast outstanding technological competence, high levels of knowledge and skill, and the creativity to thrive in diverse career environments. With Music, you’ll develop intense critical understanding in a practical environment, composing, performing, recording and studying music from a diversity of styles and eras. Your Music Technology studies will enable you to become fluent in the creative application of technology in composition, music production, sound design, screen music, audio- visuals and music software. Interactions between your two subjects abound in many areas of your syllabus. For example, in our popular music modules, recording and production are balanced by analysis and performance; in composition, acoustic and digital instruments meet; in screen music, composing for film, TV and multimedia is enriched by the critical study of film scoring history and aesthetics. Graduates of Keele’s Music and Music Technology programmes enjoy careers in media production, publishing, broadcasting and marketing, as performers, composers, teachers (at all levels of education), and in arts administration, bands, recording studios, post-production and software design. In 2016, Keele University were recognised nationally as 1st for employability in the Destination of Leavers from Higher Education survey.
