The Business Management and Psychology combined course at Keele gives you an interdisciplinary perspective on the reasons why humans feel, think and act the way they do, in organizations and in other social settings. The programme is taught by knowledgeable and friendly tutors based in Keele Management School and Psychology, both internationally recognised for the quality of their research. Graduates of Business and Psychology are creative and lateral thinkers, well suited to a range of careers such as human resource management and motivational coaching. Psychology will teach you how to design and conduct your own psychological studies in our well-equipped labs using a range of quantitative and qualitative techniques. Whether you are studying a Psychology or a Business module, you will learn to reflect broadly on situations, policies and problems and to contextually apply what you know. You also have the option to put your learning into practice by taking a placement year between years two and three of study. The programme is accredited by the British Psychology Society.  This is the first step towards becoming a Chartered Psychologist and a requirement for further study and training for a career in psychology which means you could decide to take up a number of interesting careers in psychology.  These could include working as a neuropsychologist or as a clinical, counselling, educational, forensic, occupational or sports psychologist.  You will be equally well placed to pursue a career in management or self-employment working as a management consultant, investment analyst, chartered management accountant or a role in marketing or sales. You might also decide to go on to study for a postgraduate qualification in either management or psychology.
