This programme invites you to study an equal balance of subjects relating to business management and media, culture and creative practice. You’ll pay particular attention to where these disciplines overlap, and place your studies in a highly contemporary, globalised context. At Keele, you’ll consider how businesses operate (such as marketing, finance and human resource management) as well as how they interface externally with social, cultural and political contexts. You’ll have a particular focus on how businesses communicate with their audiences and how they interact with and even help to create aspects of culture. By the time you graduate, you will have become a thoughtful critical media practitioner with both the academic and creative skills needed to manage production processes. Keele enjoys high rates of graduate employment, where in 2016, were recognised nationally as 1st for employability in the Destination of Leavers from Higher Education survey. This course will equip you with a wide range of highly practical skills, including a solid understanding of how businesses work and how theyboth drive, and are affected by, popular media and culture. You could choose from a wide range of careers in commerce, broadcasting, journalism, film, publishing or advertising, for example.
