Under the supervision of internationally recognised tutors, you will learn the fundamentals of business management as well as underpinning theories of software, hardware and computing techniques. Graduates from this programme are able to work with technical, theoretical and real life business problems and have a range of career options in information technology, systems and in management. You will explore concepts and debates in organisational behaviour, accounting and human resource management as well as understanding technology to solve a wide range of problems. With round the clock access to computing labs, based on Microsoft Windows and Linux, you will gain confidence in a wide range of applications and networking software. With a range of optional modules on offer, you have the chance to reflect on what’s happening in industry and learn about exciting developments in artificial intelligence, computer game development, human-computer interaction and cyber security. You can also choose to put your skills and knowledge to practical use by opting to take a placement year between years two and three of your studies. The placement helps you to refine your skills and gain valuable experience for working life after graduation.  You will graduate with a wide range of computing and business skills to enable you to work in a variety of roles including as a systems analyst, software engineer, management or IT consultant.  You could choose to work in the business, public or the not-for –profit sector and recent graduates have gone to work for Apple, BAE Systems, Barclays, Capgemini, Experian, Microsoft and the Ministry of Defence. You could also decide to go on to study for a postgraduate qualification in management or computer science.
