This course provides you with the theoretical insights, analytical skills and wide-ranging knowledge needed to explore the production, meaning and consumption of media and cultural products, to investigate their social, economic and political significance, and to recognise their key role in shaping who we are, what we think, and what we value. Our degree is primarily theoretical and analytical, but contains practical components and skills embedded within the core curriculum. Skills such as critical analysis and comprehension, research, presentation and writing, can lead to many avenues of employment - from journalism and marketing to arts administration. Our graduates have also gone on to further academic or vocational study in media-related careers, such as television production, or teaching.
