This degree will develop your understanding of the professional application of advanced mathematical and statistical techniques in accountancy and finance. Accredited by the major British accountancy bodies, your degree also provides exemptions from certain professional examinations. You will study the core aspects of Accounting and Finance, such as external and internal reporting, investor decision-making, and market analysis. You will also learn the key elements of relevant Mathematics, such as calculus, probability and statistics. The modules which make up a programme of study are assessed using a variety of different methods, enabling students to demonstrate their capabilities in a range of ways. Typical coursework assignments include laboratory reports, essays, literature reviews, short tests, poster sessions, group work assessment and oral presentations. Formal examinations include short answer questions, essays and data analysis. Students are supported in the production of final year project reports and dissertations.
