This course gives students the opportunity to benefit from expert teaching in both subjects. In Economics students will learn about the production and distribution of wealth and the consumption of goods and services. They will also cover many contemporary world issues. In Geography students study the impact of these issues in terms of geopolitics, sustainable development, environmental conservation and globalisation. The modules which make up a programme of study are assessed using a variety of different methods, enabling students to demonstrate their capabilities in a range of ways. Typical coursework assignments include laboratory reports, essays, literature reviews, short tests, poster sessions, group work assessment and oral presentations. Formal examinations include short answer questions, essays and data analysis. Students are supported in the production of final year project reports and dissertations.
