This degree scheme offer more flexibility than our IBMS-accredited Biomedical Science degree, with the added possibility of completing a four-year integrated Masters degree, subject to peer competition and an overall performance equivalent to upper second class. It is aimed at those with a broad interest in human life processes and disease. This degree provides an excellent platform for research-based careers in biology and biomedicine, including further postgraduate study. In addition, there are many opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry, the food industry, forensic science and research institutes. Traditionally our graduates enter a wide range of careers, and the transferable skills acquired during this degree will make graduates attractive to employers in many other areas such as management, finance, teaching and marketing.
