This joint course allows you to develop your understanding of the language, literature, culture and society of Italian and German-speaking countries, in both a historical and a contemporary perspective. German and Italian are two of the most important languages in European business, politics and trade and both Germany and Italy have been extremely influential in shaping western culture, politics and thought. We will track your progress through language assignments, essays, presentations, portfolio submissions and examinations (written and oral). Our Modern Languages graduates work for organisations including: British Council, BBC, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, PWC, Ministry of Defence, TeachFirst, United Nations, Amnesty International.
