The Bachelor of Medicinal Chemistry (Honours) offers training in research and introduces advanced areas of study in medicinal chemistry.
This course provides students with a unique opportunity to undertake original research and gain in-depth knowledge in a particular area of medicinal chemistry. Honours students have access to staff who are leading researchers and experts in their fields. Undertaking an honours course allows students to explore their research potential and develop research skills. Honours also provides a pathway for students interested in pursuing postgraduate studies at master's and doctorate level, and enhances graduates' career and study options.
Course structure
Students must complete 48 credit points of core subjects, made up of 6 credit points of coursework study and a 42-credit-point research project.

Students require a relevant bachelor's degree. Successful completion of the China National Entrance Examination (Gaokao) where the total score meets entry standard, or completion of at least one fulltime year at bachelor's degree level at a recognised university or tertiary institution. English language requirements: IELTS (Academic) - 6.5 overall, writing 6.0; TOEFL (Internet-based) - 79-93 overall, writing 21; PTE (Academic) - 58-64; CAE - 176-184; AE5/AE6 (PASS) - AE5.
国际学生入学条件
Applicants must have completed a UTS recognised bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline at an appropriate level.
The honours program is open to students who have attained at least a credit average over the final two-thirds of the undergraduate program.
The English proficiency requirement for international students or local applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0; or TOEFL: paper based: 550-583 overall with TWE of 4.5, internet based: 79-93 overall with a writing score of 21; or AE5: Pass; or PTE: 58-64; or CAE: 176-184.
