The Bachelor of Sport Development draws on streams of study to build an understanding of sport systems, programs and pathways, contemporary health and community development approaches, and the organisation, management and governance of sport organisations. You'll learn how to develop coaching programs and sport development philosophies, and examine theoretical aspects of the science of coaching and how sport is used as a vital tool for development. Course structure To complete the Bachelor of Sport Development, students must attain a total of 24 credit points. Most units (think of units as 'subjects') are equal to 1 credit point. The 24 credit points include 10 credit points of Business and Law core units, 10 credit points of Faculty of Health core units, one zero credit point safety induction unit and 4 credit points of elective units. Most students choose to study 4 units per trimester, and usually undertake 2 trimesters each year.
