The Bachelor of Political Science is the only dedicated Political Science degree in Australia. The ANU has some of the world’s finest political scientists, and was the only Australian university to receive a 5 (“well above world class”) in both of the Excellence in Research for Australia’s reports. Located in the national capital, the ANU is the only university with a right to place interns in Australian Parliament House. Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of a Bachelor of Political Science, graduates will be able to:
Apply concepts and theories used in the study of political science to the analysis of interests, ideas, institutions and behavior and to the evaluation of political phenomena;
Apply a range of research methods to the investigation of political phenomena;
Demonstrate understanding of differences in political systems and the contexts in which they operate; and
Communicate and debate both orally and in writing, and work with others, using a variety of media.

Applicants must have completed recognized upper secondary or equivalent studies comparable to Australian Year 12, to the required standard. English Language Requirements: Academic IELTS: An overall score of 6.5 with at least 6 in each component of the test; a score of 570 with TWE score of 4.5 in TOEFL (paper based test); A score of 80, with a minimum of 20 in Reading and Writing and 18 in Speaking and Listening in TOEFL (internet based test); Cambridge CAE (Pre and Post): 58 overall with all sub skills at borderline or higher; 176 overall with at least 169 in all sub skills. PTE Academic Overall 64, minimum score of 55 in each section.

An approved tertiary preparation course unless subsequent study is undertaken.
