Overview
This program aims to encourage thoughtful practitioners, analysts and policymakers who understand the complexity of international development, and who can effectively analyze and respond to challenges. This understanding requires you to be familiar with the history of development thinking and practice, and have up-to-date knowledge of best practice. You'll have direct contact with senior and experienced development sector practitioners. You'll learn from high-quality, experienced practitioners, including those who have worked with Oxfam, the Australian Red Cross, the World Health Organization, and the United Nations.
The qualification awarded on graduation is recognized in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) as Level 8.
Course requirements
Candidates for the Graduate Diploma complete 120 credit points of subjects as specified in the grid below. Students must have completed at least two1 (2) of the following three (3) subjects by the end of their studies: DST5DAC, POL5HSM and DST5MDF.
LTU0AIM is a not-for-credit subject that you are required to complete at the commencement of your first semester. The subject is designed to enhance your knowledge and awareness of issues concerning academic integrity.

Applicants must have an Australian Bachelor's degree in any discipline, or approved international equivalent. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0; TOEFL Paper-based Test - Overall score of 575 with 5 or better in TWE (Test of Written English); TOEFL Internet based (iBT): Overall 79 with 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking and 21 in Writing, Pearson Test of English (Academic) (PTE): Overall score of 58 with no communicative skill score less than 50, Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE): 176 with no less than 169 in any component, Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): 176 with no less than 169 in any component.
国际学生入学条件
Applicants must have successfully completed an undergraduate degree (or its equivalent) in the humanities and social sciences or a cognate discipline with a 60% average. Where a 60% average has not been achieved appropriate professional experience will be taken into account, especially if it involves substantial written work.
