Overview
The Graduate Certificate of Professional Archaeology is a 60-credit point course that provides preparation for those wishing to enter commercial archaeology. It covers a range of topics including Aboriginal and historical archaeology, GIS, faunal analysis, and the preparation of Cultural Heritage Management Plans. The course may serve as a pathway into the Graduate Diploma and Masters degrees. It is particularly useful for professionals wanting to enhance their skills in specialist areas.

Course Requirements
The Graduate Certificate of Professional Archaeology is a 60 credit point course that consists of one 15 credit points of core subjects and 45 credit points of elective subjects chosen from List B.

Applicants must have an Australian Bachelor's degree in any discipline, or approved international equivalent. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0; TOEFL Paper-based Test - Overall score of 575 with 5 or better in TWE (Test of Written English); TOEFL Internet based (iBT): Overall 79 with 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking and 21 in Writing, Pearson Test of English (Academic) (PTE): Overall score of 58 with no communicative skill score less than 50, Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE): 176 with no less than 169 in any component, Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): 176 with no less than 169 in any component.

An approved Bachelor's degree with 60% average in the humanities, social sciences or similar discipline. If you don't have a 60% average, appropriate professional experience is considered.
