Overview The Bachelor of Paramedic Practice with Honours is a four year course. The common first year can be attended in the regional campuses with the remaining three years held at the Bendigo campus. Students are scaffold with the knowledge and the skills throughout the course. Our program is designed to empower learners to make informed decisions whilst inspiring mastery and has proven its benefit by producing highly employable, job ready clinicians. The course is committed to provide learners with an outstanding educational experience, to foster professional excellence, longevity and lifelong curiosity. Fundamental to this is establishing synergism between research and clinical practice. This promotes ongoing individual growth and career satisfaction. The qualification awarded on graduation is recognised in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) as Level 8. Learning outcomes Course Intended Learning Outcomes (CILOs) are brief statements defining what students are expected to demonstrate they know and can do by the end of a course. Critically analyses and synthesize research in the field of paramedicine to develop appropriate responses to issues in health and well‐being. Investigate and evaluate current and future issues in health, adapting skills, and knowledge and paramedic practice to new evidence. Work independently and collaboratively in inter‐professional teams to achieve evidence‐based solutions to problems in paramedicine. Appraise and analyses emerging developments in the field paramedicine to maintain professional skills and knowledge. Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the role of extended and community paramedicine. Demonstrate well developed contemporary knowledge, current research and skills of paramedicine.
