Overview Our Bachelor of Business is dynamic, customizable and focused on employability. You'll get the freedom to pursue your personal interests and the skills and capabilities to turn them into a career. The core units of the Bachelor of Business will give you grounding in general business-related areas including; management, leadership, entrepreneurship, marketing, finance and human resources. You'll build the skills employers are looking for, including digital literacy, problem-solving and creativity. You can choose 12 electives from our full range of study areas and arrange them in the way that suits your goals. Specialize with a major or one or more minors, or study 12 unrelated subjects - the choice is yours. The Bachelor of Business also allows you to study overseas, get real-world experience with Work Integrated Learning, and learn from our Professors of Practice - business professionals who contribute to curriculum and teaching. The qualification awarded on graduation is recognized in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) as Level 7. Career outcomes You'll graduate with practical skills and capabilities, a global perspective and a detailed understanding of complex business environments. Employment outcomes are strong for business graduates, and you could pursue opportunities in organizations such as financial institutions, accounting firms, universities, government departments or NGOs. Depending on your choice of subjects, roles may include: Marketing coordinator Investment banker Venue manager Human resource consultant Project manager Risk analyst Event coordinator Accountant If you want to build deep expertise in a particular field, you may choose to do postgraduate study in your area of interest. Professional recognition The Marketing major in the Bachelor of Business is accredited by the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) until 2018. Depending on subject choice, students may be eligible to graduate with an accounting qualification accredited by CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ); please refer to the Handbook for further details. Membership may require an application to the professional body and may have additional or ongoing requirements beyond the completion of the degree.
