It examines theology alongside issues critical to contemporary society and culture, and can include a major in a related field. What you will study First year A typical first year may include: introductory learning through core biblical studies topics including interpreting the Old and New Testament, and synoptic studies a core historical and systematic theology topic on church history historical studies and systematic theology topics in Christian thought, Humanity and God, and church history ministry studies topics such as reading cultures, and introductions to pastoral care and Christian leadership a choice of topics from related disciplines. Second year A typical second year may include: intermediate learning through core topics such as the theology of Jesus Christ and church history historical and systematic theology, biblical studies and/or ministry studies options topics a choice of topics from related disciplines, including Biblical Greek or Biblical Hebrew. Third year A typical third year may include: advanced learning through a core topic in biblical hermeneutics additional topics in biblical studies and historical and systematic theology or ministry studies.
