What you will study First year A typical first year may include: an introduction to sport and physical activity, and sport in society an introduction to international tourism management and topics in marketing principles, event design and practice, and interpretive tour guiding studies in academic and professional communication; sociocultural constructions of movement in physical education; and nutrition, physical activity and health Second year A typical second year may include: studies in the psychology of sport participation and performance, health promotion for health professionals, exercise physiology, and health project management option topics in areas of business, tourism, nutrition and disability Third year A typical third year may include: an industry placement field project study in applied exercise science, nutrition for sports performance, skill acquisition and biomechanics, sport coaching, and management and administration option topics in areas of business, tourism, nutrition and disability Your career The Bachelor of Sport, Health and Physical Activity will prepare graduates for a career in the sport development, sport coaching, leisure, health, sport and event management industries, and provide a pathway to further studies in physical education teaching through the Master of Teaching courses.
