In USQ’s Bachelor of Human Services (Human Resource Management) your learning will focus on organizational structures and processes including community development and welfare.
You will learn about key aspects of human resource management including staffing and remuneration, workplace health and safety, employment relations, management and performance, organizational structure, people development and leading organizational change, ready to make an impact in the human services industry.
The Honours component of this degree involves completing a research project on a topic of choice under the supervision of a staff member. The Honours program can also provide further exposure and industry experience, preparing you for an exciting career in the human services industry.
Professional accreditation
The Bachelor of Human Services (Honours) is seeking accreditation with the Australian Community Workers Association (ACWA).

As a graduate of this degree you will have a solid foundation of human resource management to enjoy a career in industries, community organizations, industrial relations consultants, and union and employer associations. Positions can include human resources managers, directors, organizational development directors, and safety and welfare coordinators.

Students must have a recognized previous academic qualification. These qualifications are for standard entry and are based on comparisons with Australian year 12 level examinations. English language requirements: IELTS (Academic only) - 6.0 (or better) (no component lower than 5.5); TOEFL (paper based) - 550 (or better) (with a minimum Test of Written English Score of TWE 4.5); TOEFL (electronic or computer based) - 213 (or better) (with essay rating of at least 4.5); TOEFL (internet based) - 80 (or better) (with 19 minimum in all bands); Pearson (PTE Academic) - 50 (or better) (with no communicative score less than 50); Cambridge English Scale Scores for FCE, CAE and CPE3 - Cambridge English: First (FCE) with a score of 169 or above. No less than 162 in each skill.
