Our innovative teaching programs include 80 days supervised professional experience in at least three different education settings. Combine your interests in teaching and economics The Bachelor of Economics/Education (Secondary) is a dual degree program for students who are interested in becoming Business Studies and Economic teachers. After completing this undergraduate program you will have a professional teaching qualification as well as an economics degree from the UNSW Business School. The Bachelor of Economics/Bachelor or Education is a new four-year dual degree program. Designed for students interested in teaching Business Studies and Economics, this combined degree is jointly delivered by UNSW Arts and Social Sciences and UNSW Business School. Core course and electives When you study Economics and Education, you will complete a major sequence in Education including core courses, electives and placements. In addition to this you will also undertake: Core courses in Economics An Economics major from your choice of: Economics Econometrics Financial Economics Free electives Careers The Education program at UNSW prepares graduates to pursue a career in secondary school teaching in New South Wales, Australia and overseas. Other career options include policy development and leadership within schools or supervisory, corporate training, customer relations and managerial roles in a variety of industries. Honours Education students who meet the academic requirements may elect to undertake an Honours program in either their fourth or fifth year of study. The Honours program may be undertaken in either Education or your teaching discipline.
