By combining a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood & Care) and a Bachelor of Behavioural Science into a double degree, students are able to acquire two qualifications in less time and at less cost than would normally be possible. Both programs offer an exceptional learning experience, plus the chance to participate in hands-on internships. Graduates are qualified to teach in a variety of educational settings, including schools and childcare centres. Why study this degree? The School of Education provides students with strong supportive and mentoring arrangements, contemporary and practical coursework and exposure to emergent learning technologies. Graduates may teach in all learning areas of the Early Years Learning Framework and the Australian Curriculum. Behavioural Science, meanwhile, incorporates specialised knowledge developed in the disciplines of Psychology, Sociology, Political Science and Cultural Studies. It examines the manner in which people respond to the various contexts they inhabit and also the influence that people can have on those contexts. By studying Education and Behavioural Science, students bring their knowledge of social justice and equity into the classroom setting. By combining your Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood & Care: 0-8 Years) and Bachelor of Behavioural Science you are able to complete two qualifications in a much shorter time and at considerably lower cost than would otherwise be possible. During your Bachelor of Education you will undertake 32 weeks of practical experience in a school or childcare setting. A unique feature of the degree is that a course of study is completed during the practicum. Students also complete a Behavioural Science Internship.
